Report Scope
With SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA, SAP provides a self-service tool to check the readiness of your source system for a transition to a selected target SAP S/4HANA release. It helps identify required preparations and possible pre-projects for your system well before the transition project starts and enables you to understand its implications. This early insight means that you can scope and plan your transition project with a higher degree of accuracy. We recommend running SAP Readiness Check for SAP S/4HANA on a production system (or a recent copy of one) for useful transactional data and history. Based on the analysis of your source system, the tool provides a comprehensive overview of specific parameters throughout various checks:
Simplification Items: Simplification items relevant to your transition and their characteristics, such as effort ranking categories. For simplification, items categorized with the default effort ranking category of Potentially High, identified effort drivers provide insight into the required effort and time.
Compatibility Scope Analysis: Provides an overview of relevant compatibility packages, which offer limited usage rights to run certain classic SAP ERP solutions on SAP S/4HANA.
Activities Related to Simplification Items: Project-related activities that apply to relevant simplification items.
Add-On Compatibility: Compatibility of add-ons and vendor categorization.
Active Business Functions: Compatibility of active business functions in the source system.
SAP S/4HANA Sizing: Simulation of the target SAP S/4HANA size, sizing of top database tables, and potential for data volume management.
Custom Code Analysis: Interoperability between your custom code and the target SAP S/4HANA release and required adaptations.
Integration: Automated interface impact analysis that identifies interfaces that depend on restricted functionality or break upon transition.
Customer Vendor Integration Analysis: Evaluation of system status and data quality related to customer-vendor integration, which is mandatory for a technical conversion from SAP ERP to SAP S/4HANA.
Planned Downtime Calculator: Calculation of planned business downtime for the conversion, based partly on empirical values and customer-submitted statistics.
Financial Data Quality: Identification of the quality and consistency of your financial data based on the FIN_CORR_RECONCILE report results and other essential indicators.
App Availability: Identification of apps in the source system using the UI technology type SAP GUI, Web Dynpro, or SAP Fiori, which will be deprecated, unavailable, or available with a successor in the SAP S/4HANA target release. If available, recommendations for successor apps are provided.
